Letters from the Front

That time of year is coming upon us, we’re 2 months out from E3 2017. E3 is going to be huge this year, the show itself and the contents of the show has been on my mind since the end of last year’s E3, especially now that rumors are starting to swirl that Red Dead Redemption 2 will make an appearance at this year’s E3, a first for Rockstar and Wolfenstein 2 might also make an appearance at Bethesda’s E3 conference.

These predictions are my own and is the product of what I’ve read this past week from numerous big websites and these predictions are the things that I want to see.

Rockstar Games has been quiet since the release of Grand Theft Auto V, 4 years ago until October of last year when they announced Red Dead Redemption 2  and it has quickly became into this year’s most anticipated release. There was a leak this week that Red Dead Redemption 2 will release on October 3rd which sticks it to it’s Fall 2017 Release Date has seen on the teaser.

Rumors  suggest that Red Dead Redemption 2 will make an appearance at this year’s E3, on a sizzle reel for the upcoming Project Scorpio and also making a full appearance at Playstation’s E3 conference, this might be a first for Rockstar since they have never appeared at E3 and have done things at their own pace.

On the 2K side, BioShock has been quiet for the past 4 years and usually this is the time that we get a BioShock announce trailer or some sort of teaser. It’s time that BioShock reappears, here’s hoping we’ll get one at this year’s E3.

It has been an interesting year for Bethesda, in 2016 they released DOOM, the last batches of Fallout 4 DLC, Dishonored 2 in November, and this year will also be very interesting with Prey, a month out and Wolfenstein 2 and The Evil Within 2 possibly getting a surprise announcement since there was a job posting for QA for The Evil Within 2 that runs until October 31st, October 31st falls on a Tuesday this year and that might be the release date.

We don’t know what’s their blowout this year, it might be Wolfenstein 2 since it was teased last year as “The New Colossal.” , there’s speculation that Wolfenstein 2 will be dropped this Fall and will be surprised release date at E3 this year, anything is up in the air with this one.

Here are my predictions:

Red Dead Redemption 2 gets both a trailer and a firm release date.

BioShock 4 ( 3 ) gets announced for a 2018 release date, that takes us back to Rapture.

Wolfenstein 2 gets announced for Fall 2017 release date, will be one of the native 4K games coming to Scorpio.

The Evil Within 2 also gets announced for October release date, will be one of the native 4K games that will launch alongside Project Scorpio.

Fallout 4 VR will be one of the launch titles for the VR headset that Project Scorpio will come with.

These serve as my 2K / Bethesda predictions, Take-2 interactive and or Rockstar will be there in one way or another to show off Red Dead Redemption 2. These serve as my hopes for what they will possibly do at E3 2017.

For the rest of my predictions, come back next month as we count down to E3 2017.
