Man, that was bad.
Once again, EA doesn’t know how to do a good press conference. This conference was probably the best that they could offer but still it was pretty terrible, the entire conference was just entirely “WTF” and bored me to tears. EA handled this conference in not the best way possible, instead of showing their biggest game of the year which is Battlefield V with an extended trailer or gameplay session, they showed off Commander and Conquer off for 10 minutes which in itself was pretty terrible.
This conference didn’t feel like a conference for the players but instead just a conference to appease their investors and to admit that the fucked up with Battlefront II. Anyways, let’s delve into it.
Below, you’ll find everything that EA announced on Saturday. Stay tuned this week for my hands on with Battlefield V and Anthem.
Battlefield: Battle Royale
EA kicked E3 off with a tease to Battle Royale for Battlefield V with DICE devs coming out and giving a small tease. We should learn more about it later this year.
Nordly’s War Story
Nordly’s War Story was also shown which is part of the Battlefield V campaign. It takes place in German occupied Norway, the teaser showed this young woman trying to protect her family and trying to fight back the German occupation. Here is also a look at the Battlefield V MP trailer:
Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order
Vince Zampella teased Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order, set during the dark period in Star Wars lore when the Jedi were being hunted.
According to Zampella, the game is set in between Revenge of the Sith and A New Hope with a release date of Fall 2019.
Star Wars: Battlefront II: Solo DLC
The new Star Wars DLC was also announced at EA’s press conference and will focus on the Clone Wars and it will bring a new map to the game.
I really have no thoughts on this.
Command & Conquer: Rivals
The next iteration of Command & Conquer was announced at the EA conference, Rivals is a mobile game available for Android & iOs users. I got a chance to play it at EA Play and I didn’t think much of it, I would prefer a proper C&C game.
Anthem: No Lootboxes!
Lastly, this is huge news that frankly restores my faith in Anthem after a year of doubt.
On top of the release date announcement,a new trailer and gameplay was shown featuring more suits, combat, and much more.
Three BioWare devs went on stage to confirm that Anthem doesn’t have lootboxes and no “P2W” feature but I feel like there’s some sort of catch because it’s EA, we’re talking about.
Anyways, look out for Xbox’s E3 2018 review & Bethesda’s E3 2018 review coming later on today or early tomorrow. Stay tuned to catch my hands on with multiple games like Battlefield V and much more.
