It’s been a pretty good year for
2018 may have been an awesome year for gaming but here’s the thing nobody cares about the good things that happened this year and instead,
everyone likes to complain and I am so here for it. The year has had no shortage of absolutely valid complaints. Let’s begin!
As 2018 comes to a close, it is time to look back at the year and complain about the years worst moments in gaming.
Battlefield V: Reveal Trailer and Reveal
A big yikes!
I have no idea on what DICE and EA were thinking on this one. This decision has sealed the fate for Battlefield V which has proved to be one of the best Battlefield games in quite a while. This reveal trailer was basically the equivalent of Infinity Ward’s Infinite Warfare reveal trailer.
Battlefield V: Marketing Campaign

On top of a disastrous reveal trailer, the marketing campaign for Battlefield V has been a complete disaster and also sealed the fate for Battlefield V, a game that has been pretty promising and is actually good. When the game was revealed and the topic of women on the frontlines rose up shortly thereafter, Patrick Söderlund told Gamasutra that people can buy it or not which cause a massive uproar.
Thanks to his comments, Battlefield V hasn’t been selling as much as 2016’s Battlefield 1 and the game has gone through massive tribulations. The game is actually quite good and shows a lot of promise but thanks to EA, the game is suffering. Thanks a ton, EA. You never learn.
Fallout 76

Fallout has become a franchise that has been very close to my heart since the original Fallout game. When Fallout 76 was unveiled and when leaks started appearing, I was very skeptical of it since “Online.” doesn’t really fit into Fallout.
My suspicions came true when Fallout 76 released and the game got review-bombed to hell. Personally, I find Fallout 76 to be a confusing game and a game that could have been done way better. I will post my impressions once I am done writing them. So far, Fallout 76 is not a good Fallout game.
Bethesda

“You die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.”
From leaked customer information to copying and pasting code from Fallout 4, we’re literally seeing the downfall of Bethesda Game Studios and Bethesda
Fallout 76 and what’s going on with Bethesda right now is this year’s Star Wars: Battlefront II. I have never seen a company so incompetent, Bethesda is making EA look good. That is a shame.
And that is a wrap. This year didn’t have a lot of disappointments, 2017 certainly take the cake for the worst year ever since companies now no longer for customers and what customers want. Please let me know in the comments down below if this something you would like to see more as we head into 2019 and 2020.
