Letters from the Front

First off, thanks for stopping by this side of the interwebs! It means alot to me that you’ve stopped by and took time out of your day to come over here, here you’ll find everything you need to know more or less about the site.

My name is OverpoweredAF. If you’re looking for a place to start, I recommend starting here in the ABOUT ME page where I will detail my gaming background or here

Question I: What is the Site all about?

OverpoweredAF is primarily a gaming-focused site, where I put out daily articles on the site about the gaming industry as well as opinion pieces, reviews, and other gaming related things and other pieces that I find interesting.

Question II: Why do I Write and ABOUT ME?

I’ve been obsessed with writing about games since 2007, and that’s still my dream today to make it to one of the big dotcoms. I’d go through my issues of Game Informer like they were the bees knees, hoping someday that I would be one of the editors in the magazine. Jokes on me though as videogame journalism seems to be incredibly biased now and follows something more of a visual approach, instead of written format and I’m not very good at being in front of the camera.

Outside of running this side of the internet, I just go to work and play videogames and do extensive historical research. I’m a huge fan of history and historical related things so you’ll also find that on the site as well, which is all related to videogames as well.

Question III: Gaming Background

I started gaming back in 2003 with the original Call of Duty on PC and that extended to Medal of Honor: Allied Assault and Medal of Honor: Frontline, my love for gaming grew into what it is today when I discovered BioShock in 2007 and Fallout 3 in 2008. I’m primarily a PC Gamer but I mostly play on console, I’ve turned into a hybird of PC Master Race and Console heathen.

I primarily play multiplayer-focused, FPS games but I’m also very much into single-player games, story-driven experiences, RPG’s like The Elder Scrolls and Fallout.

Question IV: Where can I contact you?

I’m fairly active on Twitter, so feel free to follow my personal at @whogotwhiskey or @overpoweredaf for this site and this is the absolutely best way to contact me because more than likely, I will see it and respond quickly.

Once again, thanks for checking OverpoweredAF out. I hope you stay for a while, find something you like, and enjoy your stay 🙂 .
